Six Sigma is state-of-the art Quality Improvement Methodology which focuses on achieving breakthrough results.  When properly deployed on carefully selected business projects, this methodology leads to significant reduction and elimination of defects, and out-of-control processes.  This in turn translates into immediate and dramatic financial profitability.

Six Sigma program requires three levels of training i.e. (1) Green Belt, middle level course for quality improvement teams, and (2) Black Belt, an advanced course for quality managers.  PIQC has the privilege to introduce these courses for the first time in Pakistan, which provides top of the class training with international credibility.  These programs are licensed from Singapore Quality Institute International, which is Asia’s premium Six Sigma training institute.

Its time for the Pakistani organizations to enter into the next generation of Quality Improvement with Six Sigma implementation.

SIX SIGMA (BLACK BELT)
(20 Days (spread over four months) an advanced level course for Quality Managers and Professionals)

 This is an advanced level course which makes the participants to fully understand the use of six sigma tools, techniques and leadership skills. Black Belts is just a nomenclature used in Six Sigma for the technical leader of this program. They are usually Quality Professionals of the organizations. They are experts groomed in the six sigma methodologies, tools and techniques. They lead six sigma projects in the organizations.

This Six Sigma Black Belt training program grooms the Quality Professional into a strong Change Agents. It also prepares them to lead the improvement project teams. It provides a strong base to deal with quality issues at the organizational level, measure performance in DPMO (defects per million opportunities) and six sigma levels, and device action plans to reduce them to higher sigma values.

Learning Outcome:

• To learn advanced tools and techniques for problem solving

• To lead and manage six sigma program and project with other team members

Course Contents:

Introduction to Six Sigma and Management Principles, Introduction to Statistical concepts and techniques. Define Phase: CTQ, TRY, Process Mapping, Measure Phase: Measuring problem in depth, C&E, FMEA, SIPOC Diagram. Analyze Phase: Causal Analysis, Central Limit Theorem, Confidence Intervals, Hypothesis Testing, Sampling, ANOVA, Improve Phase: Experimentation on solutions, Design of Experiments, EVOP, Regression Analysis, Control Phase: Response Surface Designs, Control Methods, SPC, Lean Sigma, Process Control Plans, Projects will be assigned to participants to solve real company problems.

Highly qualified and experienced tutors from PIQC and SQII, Singapore, who are Black Belts with Practical experience in the implementation of Six Sigma in the companies.

Six Sigma (Green Belt)

(5 days Middle Level Course for Quality Professionals and Departmental Quality Coordinators)

This is a middle level six sigma program. It aim to provide medium level capabilities to run six sigma projects in companies. Six Sigma Green Belts are professionals from Quality and other departments who work under the guidance of Six Sigma Black Belt in various problem solving and quality improvement activities in the six sigma program being run in organizations. A company which embarks on six sigma strategy needs a number of green belts, who form part of six sigma project teams. These teams work on business and quality improvement projects in respective organizations. This course is conducted by PIQC in collaboration with Singapore Quality Institute International Singapore.

LEARNING OUTCOME

• To learn the fundamentals of Six Sigma Strategies and tools

• To learn how to identify and manage six sigma projects relevant to organizational growth at the middle level
