Industrial Management (IM)
This program is planned for professionals who
have become managers or are currently in a senior role and are
aspiring to a management position as part of their future career in
the industrial & Service sector. It is designed to help
professionals working in technical fields to acquire the knowledge
and skills necessary to achieve their career advancement goals.
Specifically, successful completion of the program will equip
graduates to lead and manage the corporate organization involved in
the production of engineering & consumer goods & services
Program’s Aim
This program aims to meet the academic,
professional and career needs of engineering and science graduates
who wish to integrate their engineering knowledge with the
management theory and practices. It will prepare students to widen
their knowledge and understanding of a range of current and future
Industrial management issues, as well as develop an understanding
of management principles and practices at the senior and strategic
level. The program will build on students’ capabilities, allowing
them to offer the most up-to-date skills and knowledge to take an
industrial career or further study and research in an engineering
or management subject.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course provides techniques of applying
management principles to professional positions held by Engineers and
Engineering Technologists. The management functions, especially
suited to scientist & Professionals in technical and industrial
environment are part of the curriculum. Students are exposed to the
theory and practices of modern management approaches, tools and
techniques in complex industrial & Competitive economic environment.
